[Psalms 34:20 (NLT)] “The Lord protects the bones of the righteous; not one of them is broken!”
[Proverbs 3:8 (NLT)] “You will have healing for your body and strength for your bones”
Recently a friend who was to get engaged pretty soon was troubled. I found out that the reason was that her fiancé had slid or slipped and came crashing down on his ankle. He was in terrible pain, they visited the doctor who suggested that it definitely looked like a dislocation and upon examining the x-ray, declared that the tibia bone was fractured. The doctor suggested complete rest for his leg and said that he would have to have a surgery to insert a plate/nails which would be fitted into the ankle joint to help repair the fracture and that he would have to be in a cast for more than a month. He was distraught because the engagement was only a couple of weeks away and such an injury would take a minimum of 6 weeks to heal as suggested by the doctor. The doctor suggested having the surgery the next day and called him then. But he did not want to have a surgery especially at a time like this.
When I heard about this news I told her that I would like to speak to her fiance (though I had never met him) and he was kind enough to oblige and gave me a call. I prayed for him on the phone “Father in Jesus name I set the bones of his ankle in place; bones come back into place, broken bones be joined again and be completely repaired. Body and bones you are healed in Jesus name.” That was it and I just told him that you are healed and will not have to undergo surgery.
The next day after his visit to the doctor, he called me up again to testify that he did not need any surgery, these are his words “When I went to meet the doctor, he was preparing to go ahead with the surgery immediately. However I insisted that a fresh x-ray be taken. The doctor laughed and said that he had one taken just the day before, but I was adamant, so the doctor obliged. When the x-ray results came in the doctor was astonished. He stared at the results for 5 minutes without saying a word and looked puzzled. He then said that something changed. He still wanted to get the surgery done. But I said ‘No’. I would not like to go ahead with it. I then went to visit another well-known bone specialist and showed him the results of the x-ray and that doctor told me that there was no reason to worry as there was hardly any damage and no need of any surgery.”
A couple of days back I attended the engagement and was glad to see my friend and her fiancé both happy and delighted. Moreover his leg wasn’t even in a cast and no one would have even known that he had a broken bone a few days ago. Praise God for such a wonderful miracle.
